Cactus Flowers in Close-up

One Sunday found me climbing a steep trail in Reynolds Park to enjoy the mother lode of ball cactus in bloom. By "enjoy," of course, I mean sitting on the rocky ground, often leaning on my elbows to get the shot. It was worth every minute, since it isn't often I see so many plants in bloom all at once.
